Positives: - Great exterior finish and accuracy - Great feeling trigger - Mecgar included mags have been super reliable - Front sight is nice and bright - Great box + accessories Negatives: - Stock sights have you aiming WAY high. Anything that isnt out past 25y you need to completely cover it with front sight post. Not cover it with the fiber, cover it with the post. Thought it might just be me and found other really good shooters who also had this problem. Swapped a takeoff RIA adjustable rear sight on so I could tune the sight to match my other pistols and desired zero. - Internal finishes of some of the cuts were ROUGH magwell, some surface grinding. Luckily it wasnt ever something that effected a tolerance, part lockup, or reliability but mine had to have been at the end of life for some cutting tooling when manufactured. There is a few internal edges that were sharper than I would have liked but a little 1000 paper cured that. - Extractor tension was a little bit too high out of the box. Tried a bunch of rounds both new and reloaded playing with COL. Any magazine with a plastic follower worked well while even CMC/ Wilson mags with metal followers would cause jams. Eventually figured out it was the extractor was too tight so loosened it a smidge and its working flawlessly now. - Right side of the ambi safety not having a bevel or more of a rounded edge can cut into your hand if youre gripping tight and high. Left side has a bevel, not sure why the right didnt get one. I just decided to take a file to it and put a bevel in myself. It is perfect now. - Stock magazine release spring was HARD, replaced it with a Wolff spring for faster reloads when competing - There is a little internal channel that helps to hold in the recoil spring guide. It stops you from being able to disassemble the slide from the frame with the barrel still attached ie the fast way. Dremel went brrr on that.
For a sub $500 1911, this gun holds its own. I was not expecting such a high quality weapon but I was greatly surprised by its finish and function, so much so that I now have one in 10mm also. You will not be disappointed by this 1911.
I was simply blown away (pun intended) at how this weapon performs. The trigger pull alone, and recoil reduction, of this firearm is simply outstanding. The g10 grips, combined with the balanced weight greatly reduces the arch produced by the recoil. It also fits perfectly in my hand giving monumental control of the the weapon. I have owned several different makes of 1911 and this buy shoots better than the $1000 Kimber Custom II. I highly recommend this weapon and will definitely buy from the company again.
I was so impressed I bought another one!
Great gun for the price. The weight basically eliminated the recoil for it to be a .45acp. No complications or complaint.
Read several reviews before purchase. Everything came as described. Gun arrived at my FFL within 5 days of order. Fit finish very nice. Grip very comfortable. Put 100 rounds through it no issues. Very accurate. Second 1911 to add to my collection. Twice the gun at half the price. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for a solid 45 1911!!
