This is my second .44, but wow, does it play havoc with your hand. You’re pretty much guaranteed to get blisters or raw skin between your thumb and forefinger. I understand it’s a classic design, but it really hurts.
Always wanted one. 'Im not a fan of the kick of the 44 Mag cartridge at age 70, but the added weight of the 29 reduces some of that. Well made, easy to operate once worn in just a bit, fun to shoot. Make sure you have good hearing protection. I love it. It's better than I expected and more. Bill
This is a classic version, model 29-10. Fit and finish are perfect. Just a gorgeous piece. The engraved wood display case is very nice as well. I give it an overall 4 because S&W, for some unknown reason, put really narrow grips on a powerful handgun that requires a much larger handle in order to safely fire magnum ammo.
Gorgeous model 29-10 of iconic dirty Harry revolver. Fit and finish are perfect. The included engraved wood display case is a nice addition. Only complaint and reason for lower score of 4 are the grips S&W decided to have on it. They are much narrower than original model 29 making firing magnum ammo quite uncomfortable.
This is must have gun for any gun lover/collector. Dreamed of having this since I was a kid. Gun looks amazing. Beautiful Presentation Box. Highly Recommend. Money well spent.
